Jigsaw Activity

After presenting our group topic to other groups,

  • I got feedback and I gave my feedback to them
  • My good point that they gave me is, I am good at explaining,
  • They told me that, I should be confidence at my presenting too.


There are many feedback too but I can't explain it because I didn't hear to clear about it so I can't explain it.



I will improve my confidence next time at presenting.



This jigsaw activity is good because we can hear our friend feedback, we can get many important , and some are good at presenting too.


Reflection (Math, English, and UOI)


A. Math- Measuring Length- Word Problems


- I learned that measuring length on word problem can let us analyze more of the problem. Some of the problem I can solve but some I can't solve it.


-My good point in measuring length is to analyze more about the word problem. We had a game and it is about measuring length too. I learn many from the measuring length.


- I doesn't have any difficulty /weak point in this task.


B. English- Writing a Narrative


- My story in writing a narrative is telling a jokes on their name. I make funny name on my friend. The theme is friendship. I choose friendship because it is good to have many friend.


- In that time I didn't feel any difficulty. I am to normal to do that so I didn't have any difficulty.


- In my story, I like the changing name. The name I make differently so it is funny.


C. UOI


- In UOI, I learn and realized that we cannot cut tree.


- I need to more about how can rainforest cure people.


- I feel that rainforest is nice because rainforest gave us food.

Unit Of Inquiry

My difficulties in the assessment on "Impact of Rainforests" are the following:

  • I couldn't get many information about other topic
  • I can't illustrate very well

The thing that I need to improve is to read and analyze more about the topic.

I did well in Food Diversity because Food Diversity is my expert topic...

Unit of Inquiry


Purpose of Task:

Task: Group Research on "Rainforest of the World"
I learn a thing that is important. The thing that is important is the information. The information that is important because we need a lot of research. I got a lot now. I got from the internet.
In the research, I done as a fast as I can so I can help my groupmate to finish it.
English
Task: Writing a narrative with writing buddy.
In the narrative, I did it with my partner. Yesterday, we end in the orientation. Orientation introduced the main character/character.
Today, I am done with everything. I do as fast as I could, edit my work and almost done with the publish.

Journal

Math:
In math, we drew something related to angle. It is rhombus, parallelogram, equilateral triangle, right-angles triangle, square, rectangle, etc. We wrote the degrees of the shape.
Example:
Each side has 90 degrees. This are called a square. They have a same measurement and it is equal to each other.

English:
In English, we do typing because when we worked on the publisher it can’t be saved in the server so we couldn’t do the publisher and so we do typing. The publisher that I should make is about cloning animals, human, etc.

We went to the computer lab because we are done and Ms. Yolanda did give us a feedback on our work. Vincent’s group hasn’t done it so they couldn’t go to the computer and type.

We make the publishing by looking at the writing process. 1st we are on pre-writing, 2nd we do drafting, 3rd we revise, 4th we called the teacher to edit our work, 5th we do re-reading, and finally we published our work.

UOI:
On Saturday we went to the school, we went to school for tree planting at the side of Batam-Pos. I went there with my neighbor. She is called as Juliani. She went there to tree planting with me. Now, the she is in grade 5 and the school is the same as mine. I ask her because we need to plant 100 trees. My sister didn’t follow because she wanted to watch her television.

That’s all.

Our UOI task is to:
· Locating rainforests in the world
· Defining tropical rainforests

In this task, the thing that I just learn is the layers of the rainforest. In the layer there are emergent, canopy, understory, and forest floor.
The thing that makes me more understand is the label and the drawing.

Math Date: May 07, 2008

In our activity on identifying geometrical figures, I do it with my partner but some we do individually. Mr. Perico gave a solution to let me know it. I can do some and some of them I can’t. I hope that I can make it correct.

Today Fieldtrip

Today I have a fieldtrip to Mata Kucing. It was fun there but I didn’t fell down but I almost fell down. I didn’t know that it was long way to go.

When Trent when there, the wild monkey go over to him and peck his stomach. I don’t know how he is but I’m sure that he will be all right.

It is very sad that Mr. Perico didn’t come to see the forest but Mr. Perico have to go to the training too.

Our teacher for the fieldtrip is Ms. Yolanda and Mr. Darwin.

Journal (Yesterday Continuation)

5th: Math
Yesterday we learnt about symmetry. In symmetry we drew a line in exact picture.
Example:
We have a worked with our partner. The work is all about perimeter and area.

English:
In English, we encoded our persuasive explanation in the computer lab. I’m finished with the persuasive essay. When I went to the computer lab again, I need to do my explanation.

UOI:
In Unit Of Inquiry, there is an experiment that we made with our partner. This time our partner is different.

I like Natanael’s experiment too. In Natanael’s they put a candle in a tray and covered with jar. There is a carbon dioxide inside the jar. If there is has no oxygen, it will blow itself.

Journal

1st: Reflection
In UOI, Mr. Perico used his laptop to show us the information about Natural Disaster. We wrote the observable change, the cause, and the effect. Now, we have known about natural disaster. I wanted to research about it so I can learn more.

2nd: Symmetry
After watching the video about symmetry, I know how to use it in architecture, nature, and arts. Architecture can built a building which has symmetrical line, in arts we can draw a place or living things that has symmetrical lines, and nature we can put a flower which has a symmetrical lines too. Symmetry is a picture or drawing that has the same side. We can fold it horizontally and vertically.

“I learn symmetry so I can know what the use of symmetry is.”

“It can be used in folding and drawing exact side.”

“I need to study about symmetry so I can now what is the used.”

“We can see symmetry in all around us.”
Example:

3rd: Reading about “Erosion and Whether”
From what I’ve read, I learned that erosion is displacement of solids (sediment, soil, rock and other particles). It is current as a wind, water, or ice by downward or down-slope movement in response to gravity.
In whether it is, weathering is the decomposition of rocks, soils and their minerals through direct contact with the planet's atmosphere. Weathering occurs in situ, or "with no movement", and thus should not to be confused with erosion, which involves the movement and disintegration of rocks and minerals by agents such as water, ice, wind, and gravity.
I read the information yesterday but I still can remember it. I will re-reading so I can remember more of this information.
I’m interested to know in:
· What is the difference between whethering and erotion.
4th: Group Working (experiment)
In the experiment time, I learnt something in Rizqi’s group. I learnt that the colour can changed by putting the bleach, toothpick, and green food colour. The first is putting green food colour and it became colour green. Second, they put a bleach and a toothpick it became colour yellow. I didn’t know why they use toothpick. I think it has something related to it.
My experiment can’t be present because I were not ready that time.
