Jigsaw Activity

After presenting our group topic to other groups,

• I got feedback and I gave my feedback to them
• My good point that they gave me is, I am good at explaining,
• They told me that, I should be confidence at my presenting too.

There are many feedback too but I can't explain it because I didn't hear to clear about it so I can't explain it.

I will improve my confidence next time at presenting.

This jigsaw activity is good because we can hear our friend feedback, we can get many important , and some are good at presenting too.

Reflection (Math, English, and UOI)

A. Math- Measuring Length- Word Problems

- I learned that measuring length on word problem can let us analyze more of the problem. Some of the problem I can solve but some I can't solve it.

-My good point in measuring length is to analyze more about the word problem. We had a game and it is about measuring length too. I learn many from the measuring length.

- I doesn't have any difficulty /weak point in this task.

B. English- Writing a Narrative

- My story in writing a narrative is telling a jokes on their name. I make funny name on my friend. The theme is friendship. I choose friendship because it is good to have many friend.

- In that time I didn't feel any difficulty. I am to normal to do that so I didn't have any difficulty.

- In my story, I like the changing name. The name I make differently so it is funny.

C. UOI

- In UOI, I learn and realized that we cannot cut tree.

- I need to more about how can rainforest cure people.

- I feel that rainforest is nice because rainforest gave us food.

Unit Of Inquiry

My difficulties in the assessment on "Impact of Rainforests" are the following:

• I couldn't get many information about other topic
• I can't illustrate very well

The thing that I need to improve is to read and analyze more about the topic.

Unit of Inquiry

Task: Group Research on "Rainforest of the World"

I learn a thing that is important. The thing that is important is the information. The information that is important because we need a lot of research. I got a lot now. I got from the internet.

In the research, I done as a fast as I can so I can help my groupmate to finish it.

English

Task: Writing a narrative with writing buddy.

In the narrative, I did it with my partner. Yesterday, we end in the orientation. Orientation introduced the main character/character.

Today, I am done with everything. I do as fast as I could, edit my work and almost done with the publish.

Journal

Math:
In math, we drew something related to angle. It is rhombus, parallelogram, equilateral triangle, right-angles triangle, square, rectangle, etc. We wrote the degrees of the shape.
Example:
Each side has 90 degrees. This are called a square. They have a same measurement and it is equal to each other.

English:
In English, we do typing because when we worked on the publisher it can’t be saved in the server so we couldn’t do the publisher and so we do typing. The publisher that I should make is about cloning animals, human, etc.

We went to the computer lab because we are done and Ms. Yolanda did give us a feedback on our work. Vincent’s group hasn’t done it so they couldn’t go to the computer and type.

We make the publishing by looking at the writing process. 1st we are on pre-writing, 2nd we do drafting, 3rd we revise, 4th we called the teacher to edit our work, 5th we do re-reading, and finally we published our work.

UOI:
On Saturday we went to the school, we went to school for tree planting at the side of Batam-Pos. I went there with my neighbor. She is called as Juliani. She went there to tree planting with me. Now, the she is in grade 5 and the school is the same as mine. I ask her because we need to plant 100 trees. My sister didn’t follow because she wanted to watch her television.

That’s all.

Our UOI task is to:
· Locating rainforests in the world
· Defining tropical rainforests

In this task, the thing that I just learn is the layers of the rainforest. In the layer there are emergent, canopy, understory, and forest floor.
The thing that makes me more understand is the label and the drawing.

Math Date: May 07, 2008

In our activity on identifying geometrical figures, I do it with my partner but some we do individually. Mr. Perico gave a solution to let me know it. I can do some and some of them I can’t. I hope that I can make it correct.

Today Fieldtrip

Today I have a fieldtrip to Mata Kucing. It was fun there but I didn’t fell down but I almost fell down. I didn’t know that it was long way to go.

When Trent when there, the wild monkey go over to him and peck his stomach. I don’t know how he is but I’m sure that he will be all right.

It is very sad that Mr. Perico didn’t come to see the forest but Mr. Perico have to go to the training too.

Our teacher for the fieldtrip is Ms. Yolanda and Mr. Darwin.

Hi everyone! Today I research about the group work and rainforest. My homework today is to do the math homework, journal, researching, and reading. Remember that you have to read everyday. Don't give to do homework too.

Journal (Yesterday Continuation)

5th: Math
Yesterday we learnt about symmetry. In symmetry we drew a line in exact picture.
Example:
We have a worked with our partner. The work is all about perimeter and area.

English:
In English, we encoded our persuasive explanation in the computer lab. I’m finished with the persuasive essay. When I went to the computer lab again, I need to do my explanation.

UOI:
In Unit Of Inquiry, there is an experiment that we made with our partner. This time our partner is different.

I like Natanael’s experiment too. In Natanael’s they put a candle in a tray and covered with jar. There is a carbon dioxide inside the jar. If there is has no oxygen, it will blow itself.

1st: Reflection
In UOI, Mr. Perico used his laptop to show us the information about Natural Disaster. We wrote the observable change, the cause, and the effect. Now, we have known about natural disaster. I wanted to research about it so I can learn more.

2nd: Symmetry
After watching the video about symmetry, I know how to use it in architecture, nature, and arts. Architecture can built a building which has symmetrical line, in arts we can draw a place or living things that has symmetrical lines, and nature we can put a flower which has a symmetrical lines too. Symmetry is a picture or drawing that has the same side. We can fold it horizontally and vertically.

“I learn symmetry so I can know what the use of symmetry is.”

“It can be used in folding and drawing exact side.”

“I need to study about symmetry so I can now what is the used.”

“We can see symmetry in all around us.”
Example:

3rd: Reading about “Erosion and Whether”
From what I’ve read, I learned that erosion is displacement of solids (sediment, soil, rock and other particles). It is current as a wind, water, or ice by downward or down-slope movement in response to gravity.
In whether it is, weathering is the decomposition of rocks, soils and their minerals through direct contact with the planet's atmosphere. Weathering occurs in situ, or "with no movement", and thus should not to be confused with erosion, which involves the movement and disintegration of rocks and minerals by agents such as water, ice, wind, and gravity.
I read the information yesterday but I still can remember it. I will re-reading so I can remember more of this information.
I’m interested to know in:
· What is the difference between whethering and erotion.
4th: Group Working (experiment)
In the experiment time, I learnt something in Rizqi’s group. I learnt that the colour can changed by putting the bleach, toothpick, and green food colour. The first is putting green food colour and it became colour green. Second, they put a bleach and a toothpick it became colour yellow. I didn’t know why they use toothpick. I think it has something related to it.
My experiment can’t be present because I were not ready that time.

Math Time and Planning
In math we are going too built:
· House
· Park- I chose park
· Subdivision
I chose park because it is easier and I can easily know what I need in my park.
Ex. Toilet, swing, etc.

Reflection (yesterday)

In English, we have an assessment on adverbs. In adverbs there is a choice to choose. I got high mark too. A little mistake it is okay.

In math, we have to plan more in our park, house, and subdivision. Our task on composite is wrong so we did at school and at home to make it nicer.

In UOI, we went to the computer and we finished our storyboard. Mr. Perico take video, who has not been video.

Journal "Reflection"

In the computer lab, I found some picture with Mirai. Mirai cause me many trouble but I still can solve the problem. Once the file is remove/deleted by Mirai, I can undo Mirai's computer so the file can be there again.

That's why I say Mirai is a trouble maker. "=_=

Yesterday, yesterday journal...

Reflection:
This reflection I wrote yesterday so don't mined if I say today.

Today I wrote a reflection about what I have demonstrated in my fieldtrip. I wrote what I have been doing there.

In the computer lab, I did my Bahasa Indonesia work then I type my persuasive essay in Microsoft Publisher.

In UOI I continued my group work with my team and one of the attitude is cooperation. Eu gene drew a waves movement. I can't drew at here but I can drew at a paper.

In math, I have an assessment in angles. There is 2/3 task to done. I just remember when I count the angles and colouring.

Fieldtrip Reflection...

When I went to Batu Besar, the profile I've demonstrated is Risk Taker. When the stone was slippery, I showed my confidence in walking carefully.

When I was at the beach, I seat at the stone and drew some angle at my drawing.

I wanted to know which I don't know. I still doesn't have an idea so I maybe tomorrow I will ask my teacher.

My plan for revising my explanatory text is to make my sentences little but it is complete but I have to add more so I can get more information.

My fieldtrip

Hi! Today I have a fieldtrip to Sekilak Beach at Batu Besar. In the fieldtrip, I walk in the stone and I almost fell down but safely I touch the stone so I can’t fell down. It is very dangerous if you play there. The beach was slippery and almost I fell down too. At that place I draw a place. For example, the house and the other thing, I think my drawing is nice because it is my drawing. Mr. Perico explains to us the black thing was oil. Mr. Perico also told us that if we step on the oil it can’t be removing so I didn’t step it.

Today in UOI, my group mates share the think that they got. Rizqi found many information and we are proud of him. I got a little but not too little. My group mates have 4 people and it is Me, Rizqi, Eugene, and Mirai. Eugene has no homework and Mirai has an incomplete homework. I hope they can cooperate together so we can get much information.

Yesterday Continuation

In English, we finished the story on Stone Fox and it is a sad ending. After we read it, we highlight green for verb and blue for noun. The heading is ‘Analyzing Language Features and Organizational Framework of explanatory texts or explanations.’ We didn’t finish it yet but Mr. Perico calls us to do it as a weekend task.

The Friday Journal

Dear Proudy,

Today, I went to Nagoya Hill with Mirai. He spent all the money. I spent all my money too. I spent all the money because of Mirai. I wish I didn’t spend all the money because I want to buy something which I want. I try to save my money but today, I spent all of it. Mirai purse lost in Nagoya Hill. It seems that he didn’t worry about the purse. I want to hit Mirai because he already used my money to play the car and he always lost. I want to hit him but later, the mother mad so I didn’t hit him. It was really fun after all. I would like to go with Mirai again.

In reading, I just read 10min. so it means the total of Friday until Sunday it is 30min. I like to read but I like to be free on the weekend. I don’t wish to read 10 hour at home or 1 hour. I would like to read just 10min.

Today, I there is a talk again. Talk is someone who tells. For example, this is our province. We interview some of the parent and we note take the thing which is important. In the subject of Bahasa Indonesia, they came. Which is at 1.00pm. 1st, who came is Mr. Rahman told us about Bintan my group and KEPRI. 2nd, who came is Mr. Anas he guided the group of Batam and Karimun.

In math, I have top ten and I got 5/10. I guess I have to study more to get a good assessment.

Monday and editing journal

Dear Proudy,

Today, we learn about editing in our work in the blog. 1st, we check our friends work. 2nd Mr. Perico explain about, how to edit our work easier. Last, I edit my own work. That is how we do today in the computer lab.

In Math, there is a top ten. We didn’t solve and it is a mental math. I got 4/10 because it is too hard so I got 4/10. In that mental math it is a little bit fast and little bits slowly. Some of the problem we solve it too. I like mental math but I didn’t train my self to be fast.

Last subject in UOI; I copied the situations and resources in KEPRI. KEPRI means Kepulauan Riau or Riau Island Province. Next, we discuss with our own group and we wrote the plan, we highlight the situation and resources that we have in our expert region. For example, I am in the group in Bintan, I discuss with my group if there is sand in Bintan. If they all agree we highlight it. Last, we wrote a reflection journal on the booklet.

The Saturday Journal

Dear Proudy,

Today, it was a bad day but it’s okay. I still can’t bear it and I can’t say it too.
I hate this morning because of my sister. I can’t tell you now, not tomorrow, not after one month, and not even after the end of the universe. I am sad about it. I really hate my father and sister because of reasons I can’t tell. I can’t tell you because I am angry and I’m sad. God, can you tell me whether I can say it or not? I would let God decide! You can give me advise too whether I have to say or not. I think not, I think yes. What a rhyme but that’s how I’m feeling right now. How can I live like this? Will I die or not? I’m serious about this. Please tell me!!!!! I really can’t stand it.

The Friday Journal

Dear Proudy,
Sorry that I didn’t give comment because at the computer lab the internet couldn’t connect to it. It has a problem and I can’t upload it. I can’t upload it today because March 1, 2008 is tomorrow so I want to save it for tomorrow or my father will be mad at me.

In my subject of Math, I do reading partnership with Muhammad Rizqi and some of them do the other thing. I love reading partnership. He and I have a book title name Tales of Robin Hood. The story is great and fun. I wish I can read again.

In the morning, there’s a visitor of the DUNIA came to visit our school. They also visit all classes. We have an assembly in the morning and the DUNIA watch. Some of them are dancing like a flamingo. The thing I don’t like is one grade they repeat. Yesterday, yesterday, they already show it and today they show it again.

I’m will be crazy -_-!

The Thursday Journal

Dear Proudy,

Today, in Math, my friend Natanael had a weird problem. His word problem has 3 answers and they’re all correct. I don’t know which among his answers is right. When I solved it, I got the first solution right. In the second strategy, I didn’t get it right because I didn’t add the 00 at the back. For example I wrote 1678 and subtracted it with 7899.71. I didn’t add 00 so I need to change 1678 to 1678.00. That is the problem.

In Math, the teacher was Ms. Erika. Mr. Perico was busy so she helped him manage the class.

Before lunchtime, an interviewer came to our school for a talk. The interviewer’s name is Mr. Wan Darussalam. He came to our school to discuss about our province (KEPRI). We asked questions to him. Then, we took notes about what he said about our region. It is very interesting to know about Riau Islands Province. I didn’t ask any question because some of my friends want to answer so I let them answer the question. I appreciate and respect what Mr. Wan Darussalam shared to us. To become an inquirer I have to list down the important words so I can be successful in my learning. I didn’t get much information from the talk because he talked about Batam only.

This is all I’ve got today. I will just post the comments on my classmate’s blogs tomorrow.

Hi friends! How are you today? I'm fine. Since my mb is almost full I have to type extremely fast. Today, I can't read the book that I borrowed it's because it is almost night so I can't read but I do my homework. In topten I got five out of ten because some I have two choice I choose one and it is wrong so I got five. In math, I play game too. Hi everybody! Do you have a nice weekend? I went to Singapore yersterday. Yesterday I buy thing for my sister. In Singapore, I use MRT. It is very fast. I went to Toa Payoh. Yesterday I don't give a comment. Sorry for that. Yesterday I write on the night. My mother call me to sleep. Than, I slept. Now, Let's talk about my study! Today I went to Singapore. My mother brother wife's born a baby and we look at the baby at the hospital. After we go from the hospital we went for eating. After that, we went to shopping, my sister gave some dollar to buy something from Singapore. She gave me list what are the things that I should be buy and so me and my mother went to buy. At Singapore rather than buy my sister thing me and my mother also buy something at Singapore. Me and my mother bring dollar money on our own so we can buy something on our own. After, we buy the things that we went to eat again and we use the ferry and we go home. Well gotta go bye.

Sorry that I didn't maintain my blogger. You know why? Because I write it on the paper, the title is about the plan the recearch and the other thing. I didn't know that it has to be writen at this blogger. Sorry to kept waiting. ^_^! Today I am going to tell you that five people is absent. It is Eugene, Insan, Yvonne, Cassandra, and Hazell. I know why Eugene, Insan, Yvonne, and Cassandra is absent. Eugene is sick, Insan when to Karimun to study, Yvonne is in Medan because she has family problem, and lastly Cassandra when to Jambi. She couldn't go home because the airplain didn't come because they have the schedule so Cassandra will be back tomorrow or Wednesday. It is not nice without them because they will miss so pray for them. Let's talk about my study in maths. Can you solve thirty percent of sixty percent? Anyway today I got some perfect and some didn't because some of them is to hard than I realize it. It is about percent you. I know one strategy. Today I have many things to read you know! I have to read many things but I couldn't be disturb. If I get disturb I couldn't read but I will mess up with the books, for example tear the book. Today my club is basket ball. When I was a kid I want to learnt the rule of the basket ball but now I can. I try to dribble the ball and play with my friend. I am not expert hahaha. I just can dribble the ball, shoot the ball and of course pass the ball to friend. That is how the rule work. I have one people call Reza. I think he is expert. He is good in shooting, in dribbling and passing. I wanted to make my skill to expert and it is my goal. I want to be expert so I can beat everyone. I don't hit but beat OK!!! Got to go. Bye!!!

Today I think I'm sick. I feel kinda sick but I don't want to rest at my bed. I want to have freedom. Hahaha!!! I still find out that my work is acceptable or not. Mr. Perico haven't reply me. He just show us the work that is nice but I still don't know that my work is acceptable or not. I have nothing to do. Yesterday I open the website for math. I cannot open to long because it is uk. My father said if we open to another country cannot use to long so I not use to long. Got to go! Bye.

Today I just know that I need to research one only. I do it in time. My teacher help me to find. I couldn't research more so my teacher help me. Sorry everyone to kept seeing at my old journal. I didn't do it at here it is because my internet mb is something like ninety-eight mb. I use speedy. If we use speedy we cannot make it until one-hundred. If we make it one-hundred more we have to pay more many. I don't want to waste my parent money so I use it wisely. I don't have time to transfer it because I have to help my mom after I do my homework done. Today at school I share the advantage and my disadvantage at my holiday. My advantage are I have fun in Singapore and my disadvantage are I am very hot at the boat. The boat name is Wavemaster Ten it is from Habour Bay. I am gotta help my mom. Bye!
